Discover historical and unusual places that marked the lives of Lesbian-Gay-Bi-Trans in Bordeaux the last two centuries.
This walking route lasts nearly 3 km from Porte Dijeaux at Place des Quinconces through St Eloi and St Pierre blocks to discover forty commercial and community facilities, biographies from local personalities (writers, painters, photographers, military, politicians, activists for LGBT) fashion (clothing, music,), public scandals (prostitution, obscenity) and the consequences of homophobia ...
This tour does not advocate any sexual orientation in particular, it is only a tour about the LGBT heritage which is not only sexual but mostly cultural or architectural. The tour is mainly based on a dense documentary background and some statues / memorials. This is basically to listen and imagine the living conditions (and anecdotes) of LGBT in Bordeaux the last two centuries. I not recommend the tour to -15 years guests. This tour can be done from 9am-12pm 13pm-19pm because the tour goes through popular and commercial streets in downtown Bordeaux which can be very crowdy when the restaurants and bars terraces are full. I'm a Professional tour guide of `Bordeaux` gay tours
