Osijek is a city in Eastern Croatia and the principal city of Slavonia.
Here is what we will do:
Tvrdja castle is the 18th-century Habsburg defensive fortress. This immaculately-preserved baroque military compound, designed by Maximillian de Gosseau in 1721, gathers many historical buildings. Luckily there was no damage during the recent conflict.
I will tell you many stories and anecdotes about this castle and we will also visit the Museum of Slavonia located here. The entrance fee is included in the price. On the main square, you can find an exceptional night-life with numerous bars, discos and restaurants.
Then, we will have a walk around the city and we will go to the Co-Cathedral of St Peter and St Paul. This is the tallest church in Croatia. It gathers many stunning stained glass windows and a large pipe organ constructed by the Walcher firm of Linz, Austria. The Co-Cathedral is the best place for renowned concerts of classical and religious music.
I will adapt this tour according to your request. We can also have lunch or dinner around local slavonian dishes ( not included in the price).
