Discover how many of the locals spend their sunny days on the water. Vinkeveense Plassen is a water recreational area nearby Amsterdam. It is surrounded by nature and has an abundance of protected birdlife.
The Plassen is a large water area consisting of countless islands scattered around and is popular with the locals who are seeking the sun and the boating lifestyle.
We will depart Amsterdam in the morning and cycle along the Amstel river to the protected nature area of Botshol. We will mainly be following small waterways and cycle paths to reach the Vinkeveense Plassen.
Once we arrive to the Vinkeveense Plassen we will leave the bikes behind and discover the area with a Canadian Canoe. We will spend a few hours on the water and you will experience the wonders of this nature area by getting up close and personal with the wildlife that inhabits it.
Although it sounds like hard work, it will be relaxing and you will be given a break when we stop at one of the many islands for lunch and a swim. We will then canoe back to the 'haven' where we will collect our bikes and return to Amsterdam via a scenic route.
Included: Canoe hire, Lunch and a guide
Excluded: Bring your own bike or hire a bike with us for an additional €10.
