Enjoy your visit to the beautiful port of Veracruz discover the history of the fort of San Juan de Ulua. It was built at the time of Hernán Cortés, on a small island located off the coast of the Gulf of Mexico.
The experience begins aboard a tram that takes you to the fortress iin approx. 30 minutes. To get there, you will be greeted by a certified guide who will tell you more about the history.

Initially, the site was a temple of indigenous worship before the time of the Spanish conquest.
Years later the Spaniards built the fortress and the pier from where vessels arrived from Europe.
Later it was turned into a prison.
The activity only takes place on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 12:00 in order to leave at 12:30 Meeting point: At the tram office outside Plaza Aquarium of Veracruz.
