"I have a wide knowledge of the musical history of London and have conducted many successful tours with the Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Queen and the Who being the most popular subjects. I also conduct tours of particular areas of London including Soho, Camden and N..."Ask a question to Ian M.
I conduct walking tours of London based either on a particular group or artist such as the Beatles or Freddie Mercury. We meet at an easy-to-find location such as the ticket hall at St John's Wood Station and then take a leisurely walk with perhaps a short bus-ride or two as I explain the key points. Tours last around two and a half hours with of course a stop midway for a drink, often in a music-related bar. I often conduct tours based on a special area such as Soho or Notting Hill and then the topic of the tours branches out into politics, coffee bars, mass murderers and lots of local history. I'm a very experienced English Teacher and speak a little French and Spanish.
I've recently completed a rock and roll guidebook to London and in my research for this project I've walked the streets of every area in central London as well as many in the outskirts. So, I know the transport as well as the good pubs and restaurants too.
