Guided hiking adventure in National park Kornati. This small adventure consist of more than a 100 km speed - boat trip, and climb on a highest peak of National park Kornati, peak Metlina with height reaching 237 m, from where spreads stunning view on the all four sides of the world.
Regular start point is Vodice, where we board on speed - boat that will take us to island Kornat, largest island of more than 100 islands and rocks in the National park. During our navigation to island Kornat, we will enter through south entrance of NP and explore large part of the National park and see distinctive beauties of the National park, like white rocks. Because of the fact, that ¾ of the National park territory is sea, best way to see most of the NP beauties is with boat. After one and half hour of navigation we will reach island Kornat. When we step on the island, we will warm up our legs with quick climb on the remains of the 16th century fort, with foundation dated at the edge of the history of the mankind. With our feets well warmed up, we will head to picturesque settlement, consisted of few houses, but with no permanent inhabitants. Afterwards we will start main climb on the peak Metlina. During the climb we will make several stops for rehydration. At the top of the Island we will make lunch break and have prepared lunch pack, made of tradicional croatian delicacy and energy bar. When we are rest enough, we will slowly go down to our skipper and board.
From island Kornat back to Vodice we will use other rout, through narrow channel on northern border of NP called Mala Proversa.
Price include: boat transfer to island, speed – boat skipper, hiking guide, entrance fee for the National Park Kornati , 4 x 0.5l water pro person, lunch pack (vegetarian meal possible) Equipment needed: trekking or hiking shoes or boots, windproof jacket, raincoat (in case of sudden rain), sun protection (hat or cap, sun googles, sun cream), backpack for water and lunch pack, camera, hiking poles (optional) Participants have to sign letter of disclaimer before start of the tour.
