My name is Tihana. Let me tell you the secrets of my home-town : Sisak. It is a beautiful town located around three rivers with a very long history which dates back to the Celtic and Roman times. I will guide you through the city center and show you its baroque palaces Big and Little Kaptol, the Old Bridge over the river Kupa which is considered as one of the most beautiful bridges in Europe, Roman excavations, Sisak Cathedral and Synagogue (today serves as a music school), and the City Museum. We can sip a cup of coffee on the city promenade and I will tell you all about the legends, patron saint St. Quirin and his remarkable path, history of the Celtic Segestica and Roman Siscia. Then, we can take a short 10 minutes ride and visit the Old Town Fortress where one of the biggest European battles from 16th century took place. There is a Native Museum now, and it offers very interesting content worth seeing.
Come with me and discover Sisak from the inside!
Opening hours of the Native Museum: Tuesday – Friday 10:00-18:00 Saturday – Sunday 9:00-12:00
