The Philippine cuisine is a mix of Chinese, Spanish and Malay cooking. Rice is the most important part of the meal. The dishes are tasteful, they can be mild spicy but usually not spicy at all so the original taste of the ingredients can be easily recognised even though many herbs are beeing used. Filipinos eat fish, pork , poultry and lots of vegetables. Most of the dishes are prepared in wok-style cooking.
