Guided birdwatching day in the Natural Park of Los Gaitanes (El Chorro) and Rio Grande near Málaga

El Chorro hosts several colonies of vultures, jackdaws and swifts. Its forest and garigue are inhabited by several species from the area. The nature reserve is a special area birds protection.

Telescope & binoculars will be at your disposal.

The most important species are:

All year: Martinet, Griffon Vulture, Golden Eagle, Bonelli's Eagle, Sparrowhawk, Northern Goshawk, Peregrine Falcon, Hoopoe, Crag Airplane, Black Wheatear, Blue Rock Thrush, Dartford Warbler.

Summer: Vulture, Short-toed European, Alpine Swift, European Bee-eater, Red-rumped Swallow, Zarcero Berber, European Golden Oriole.

Winter: Great Egret, Black Stork, Ring Ouzel.

Passing birds: Squacco Vulture speckled Osprey.
