If you're a person aged 50 and more and want to keep away depression and Alzheimer's disease, you have to exercise your mind, to keep it busy every day. On our one day experience in the wonderful Canadian Rockies, you will practice the technique of contemplation and you will focus on the natural elements, thus you will activate brain regions that might otherwise go unstimulated. This stimulation can lower your risk of memory impairment and Alzheimer’s disease, also enhance concentration and attention and increases blood flow to your brain. Combining walking with mental exercises to expand your awareness, you will get more energy and better mood who will lower your risks for many health problems.
1. In the morning at 9:30 AM we meet at Nakoda Lodge close to the magnificent mountain Yamnuska where you will perform our active meditation program. This program is intended to stimulate your brain functions and the power of concentration. Accomplishing a series of rhythmic exercises near the lake, you will harmonize your nervous system by beating drums and triggering your internal energy: thus you will generate electrical activity in the brain to heal stress and prevent Alzheimer's disease!
2. The next step we head up to the town of Banff where we'll take the Gondola to Sulphur Mountain to experience a bird's eye view of six mountain ranges. At the Banff Gondola, you'll see more mountains in a moment than most see in a lifetime. Now we will focus on observation of sub alpine and alpine flora as well as the wildlife of these wonderful places. You will practice a technique of meditation based on observation of the natural elements, the technique used by the Black foot Indians for centuries. You will start to be aware of the Shaman inside
yourself! After lunch in the beautiful restaurant on the top of the mountain, we will take the Gondola back to your bus and head up to Lake Louise. This is the third and final step of our day, before we go home enriched by such amazing experiences.
3. We'll take a walk around the most beautiful lake in Banff National Park where you will start to feel like a pilgrim on his way to spiritual freedom ! Now you will start dancing with the Nature, with the Universe, ... the more you dance, the more joy, vitality, energy, creativity and harmony you will experience ! Feeling that freedom you will start to change your mind and your spirit.
Finally we'll end our wonderful day on the banks of the beautiful Lake Louise where our goal is to teach you the secrets of mountain photography, how to choose lights and shadows for a memorable photo.
