On June 6, 1944, allied troops landed on the beaches of Normandy. The D-Day beaches are famous worldwide (Sword, Juno, Omaha, Utah...) but the Battle of Normandy that followed also had a decisive role in the outcome of World War II. You cannot visit Normandy without missing the historical D-Day beaches.
Besides the tourism of memory, Normandy will also surprise you with its cities and its rich architectural heritage, typical houses, the long coastline, the typical forests not forgetting the famous local cuisine (sausages, cream, cheese, cider, caramels, ..)
Do not miss a visit of the Mont Saint Michel, a world heritage site by UNESCO. Normandy is a land of wellness and relaxation with its typical landscapes. It has already inspired several great masters of Impressionism such as Claude Monet, Paul Gauguin and many others. Normandy is waiting for you !
